Hi friends!! It’s been quite a few weeks yet again since I’ve written anything, shame on me! I was tagged by Chloe from Chloe Chats to talk about my silver linings during lock down. Despite New Jersey being on Phase 2 of reopening the state, I still consider myself on lock down because things aren’t exactly “back to normal”. Who knows if it will get to that same level of norm again?
Anyway, late or not, it’s good to count our blessings, even at this time when things all seem to look bleak. So, here’s my silver linings during lock down!
Waking Up Whenever
I absolutely HATE waking up early. I had to wake up early all four years of my high school years, as well as for college. My body hated it all! My college classes resumed online because of covid-19, and the morning classes were pushed back an hour later. YAY!!
I will admit that this has led me to wake up quite late and feel like it’s afternoon after I finish my breakfast, and thus feeling like I barely get anything done that day. Although I do get things done, the evening just creeps up so much faster because of it! However, I still am not willing to change my morning routine because I love my sleep too much!
All this free time staying at home has given me more time to draw and actually plan a little a head in terms of social media content! I’m super grateful to have the time to doodle more and work on making items for my sticker and art print shop.
Not Working As a Hygienist
This is a bittersweet thing, but I am ECSTATIC I can have a four month break from working as a hygienist. As time goes on, I just want to work as a hygienist less and less. I’m grateful I started receiving unemployment money a few weeks ago, otherwise I wouldn’t have had ANY money flow all this time! The money I’m getting now is over twice the amount I make when I actually work, so I honestly hope I could keep claiming unemployment until it runs out, haha!
Health Is Wealth
Thankfully, everyone in my family is healthy and safe. Despite these really strange and intense aches and pains I’ve been getting on my left shoulder, I’ll take that over being sick with the virus.
What were your silver linings in lockdown? Anyone is free to join in and make a post!
Until next time! ♡
