On the 10th day of Blogmas, my blog post’s going to be….
About the places you can go online to do some or all of your Christmas shopping! Money aside, I love buying gifts for people. I love looking around and seeing all the unique gifts there are! With that said, where can you go to find unique and interesting gifts for your loved ones? Here’s a few places I’d recommend!
Amazon
Yeah I know, it’s obvious Amazon is going to be on this list. However, have you ever checked out Amazon’s Interesting Finds section (With that black “Take a Look” Button)?! If you have no idea what to get a friend or family member, you may find something interesting in this little corner of their website!
I love that it looks like a mood board and a bit like Pinterest, where there are different sized squares with different random product like jewelry, stuffed animals, apparel, and little unique pieces of furniture and home decor!
Etsy
You probably saw this one coming too. Besides Amazon, I think my friends and family frequent this site for unique and/or handcrafted gifts. I get so lost on this site because there are so many cool things to buy! I often tend to get lost in the more expensive stuff too… wonder why!! I also find myself sometimes wishing I could do what these insanely talented artisans have done 🙈
Uncommon Goods
Uncommon Goods is another really cool website that you need to check out if you haven’t, already! Uncommon Goods is like Etsy, where it supports many independent artists and small businesses, offering you a variety of interesting goods! I seriously love it. There were some things I put on my wish list from Uncommon Goods … all expensive stuff, of course.
The Grommet
Last but not least, The Grommet. This is another site just like Etsy and Uncommon Goods where they support local makers and small businesses, but I feel like it’s their more mature-looking sibling. They actually offer a membership in which you pay $49 a year and you get free shipping without minimum + 10% discount on everything. However looking at the fine print, it states the free shipping offer only applies to “all products that travel by regular ground shipping in the 48 contiguous states”. Sorry, everyone else…
ANYWAY, you’ve only got to worry about that if you want to be a member! I think it’s neat how the details are neatly and clearly laid out with every item you look at, so there’s no question as to what it’s made of or what its dimensions are. A cool thing they’ve got is their “Surprise Me!” button. If you are overwhelmed with all of the categories, just hit that button to see something random.
Happy shopping!! 🙂
Hi lovely
I can honestly say I have never bought anything off of amazon I know I am so behind the times
But you have shared some great information that has made me want to check these out x
Ah Kelly Amazon is one of my go-to places to shop online!! You can get some stuff really cheap there 🙂
Never heard of the “Uncommon Gifts” but their site looks so cute!x

Ahh yeah it’s a pretty neat site! Not sure how they are with pricing compared to Etsy though!
I didn’t know about that secret part of Amazon – thank you for telling us about that. I had an Etsy shop and sold NOTHING at all sadly 🙁
I think online shopping is great but in the UK many High Street shops are closing because of it.
You’re welcome! they have some cute curated items that you may fancy! Online shopping seems to be the big thing to do nowadays and it is sad, it’s making some of the physical stores close! There’s just so much more selections online. So sorry you didn’t get to have a good time with your Etsy shop! I was just thinking of making one myself one day
Fab little list, I always use Amazon, especially if I’m running out of time, it’s such a life saver! And Etsy always has such cute and thoughtful gifts, although it’s not always great for last minute just in case it takes too long to deliver!
Chloe xx
Amazon IS amazing!! Amazon Prime has spoiled me even further 🙂 If I order from Etsy I try to make sure I’m in no rush or I get it WAAAY in advance hehe
Etsy is my first stop for anything unusual! I don’t tend to have much luck with Amazon, and I haven’t heard of the others so I will need to check them out. Thanks for sharing!
Yess for anything unusual it would have to be Etsy! I go to Amazon if I already know what I want to get, but as for interesting and unique finds, I may not go there 🙂 Thanks for reading Ruth! x
I use Amazon all the time but didn’t know about the take a look button! Thanks for the tip, I’m going to find that really useful! X
I was so happy when I found it! No problem Allison! 😁
