I’ve decided it’s time for me to do what I’ve wanted to do many years ago, but just couldn’t. Not that anything was physically stopping me, but rather, my mind was already telling me,
No, don’t do it. Your blog won’t be good enough. Anything and everything you can and will think of has already been covered by thousands of other people on the internet.
For a few years, I’ve wanted to start a blog of my own but never had enough confidence to actually execute my plan. I actually wanted to make a blog specifically about my journey through dental hygiene school, but that never came to fruition. Two and a half years later, I’ve graduated dental hygiene and I’m working in my field of choice, and I regret not having started a blog earlier.
Only after watching videos and reading about how many bloggers started did I realize that I was wrong. So what if you talk about the same stuff? Everyone’s experiences and point of view on things are different and unique. Even if you are the millionth person on earth to talk about pumpkin spiced latte, perhaps there will be a part of you, whether it be your writing style or your comical personality, that will attract others into wanting to know more.
And so, here I am.
I’m pretty excited (still a bit hesitant and nervous, not gonna lie!) that I’ve made the choice to go for it. My idea for this blog has now evolved into not only talking about my journey through dental hygiene school and oral care-related posts, but other things that I’m interested in or have experienced as well. Travel (haven’t done too much of that yet since I was and still am an #indebtcollegestudent), product reviews, video games, food, self-care (fitness, mental health), etc. Hence, it’s now a lifestyle blog.
With this blog, I hope to use it as a creative outlet, as well as somehow keep my memories and the things I’ve done in a nice format! If you happen to stumble upon this little blog of mine, welcome! Let’s be friends! I hope you’ll find my posts relatable or useful in any way.
